My Haynes manual does not have detailed diagnostic procedures for the suspension control switch or the electric mirror control switch. I am having problems with both and wanted to check the switches before I checked the expensive stuff. Does anyone have diagnostics information on these two switches? I can diagram the wire set up here if that would help. THANX

Here are my readings from the suspension wiring harness:

BLUE: infinite resitance

BLACK: zero resistance

RED: infinite resistance

RED/green: 8.5 Ohms resistance

Here are my readings from the power mirrors wiring harness:

LIGHT GREEN: infinite resitance

GREEN: infinite resitance

GREEN/black: zero resistance

BROWN: infinite resitance

BLACK: zero resistance

GREEN/red: infinite resitance

GREEN/yellow: infinite resitance

Thanx for any help...

Already pointed him in that direction; for some odd reason, he posted this in the ECU discusions...

first off I doubt your suspension will work anyways. they are all worn out by now. unless you want to buy new *** shocks from mazda for like $500 each I don't think I'd spend the time trying to fix the switch.

also are those resistances to ground? or to the other end of the wire? stuff pluged in or not pluged in?

The resistances are measured from ground and the circuit is de-energized. If I were to measure the resistance at the other ends of the wires they are all zero Ohms.

So the shocks are not worth going after in your opinion or just the electric adjustment setup? I can get spare switches and actuators all day from the bone yards around here, I might be able to find a functional pair with some luck. Keep me posted though on what you think.
