Leave that **** in Gen D pls!

RacerX, if he does not have emissions he can cap atleast 2 if not 3 of the nipples on the TB depending on the series..

sidewinderx7 01-11-2004 04:11 AM

i have no emissions on the car, the front side of the TB vacuum is all capped off and the rats nest is gone. Im mainly speaking of the back ot the TB, im just iffy on 2 of them. i believe its right, but just checking. Good god my lazy ass needs to take pictures. :( My camera is sitting no less than a foot away, the usb cable is sticking connected to it, and my garage is about 50 feet away. why god, why am i so lazy?!

well since thats a 3rd gen vacuum diagram...it will not

okay now, you have no rats nest, and no emissions or anything....are you retaining the thermowax (see: otherpost by you) .... if not...then thats one less vac line

on my car...with no thermowax, no BACV, no emissions...i have 3 vac lines running in the back of my UIM/TB area

1. from UIM > FPR

2. from UIM > nipple in middle of LIM near primary rail

3. from UIM > nipple on side of LIM where cold start used to go to

4. big nipple on UIM > capped off

the 3 on the front of the UIM are capped off

the TB has no vac lines on my car...i took off the thermowax, dashpot, double throttle, and all that ****, and since i have no BACV and thermowax theres no coolant running through it...so i have the TPS on my TB and al the holes / nipples that are still there capped off (like the coolant lines)

and to just finish up the rest of my vacuum routing....on the UIM nipple on the top i have a line going to a 4 way T connector...off that T i have:

1. MAP sensor (you still have AFM? cap one hole)

2. BOV

3. wastegate

4. boost gauge

- mike

ps. if most of that didnt make sense, i can take pics

i pretty much have the exact setup as you already. The only reason the thermowax is still there is because i dont have a block off plate for it right now :( but yeah, i got it all worked out now, thanks https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR

OK, OK I screwed up https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif , I could help you if I had a scanner. I got the correct info from my service manual https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png .

Top - goes to center vacuum line from middle of LIM next to secondary inj's.

Middle - goes to vacuum connector between oil injectirs on LIM.

Bottom - larget of vacuum lines goes to vacuum spider.

Now I hope that helps https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif .
