So you saying that a stock turbo 2 will pass smog with just one High flow cat or cat. Does it have to be those Bonez cats..??? But besides cosmetics what do you think.
Bonez doesnt even make thier own **** from what I understand.

My car passed with flying colors using a Catco converter, it used to fail badly without the converters, I put one Catco on there and its all

good now.

If cosmetics dont mean anything to you then only you can

know which one would be best, in the end its whichever one

grabs your attention, I like that the 88 isnt modified, and the 87

does have some things done to it already that you would probably want to do anyhow.

Knock $800 off either car and see if they go for it.

So what do you guys think about the no cat situation on both cars could that hurt them the engines. And if the guy rebuilt his 87 and street ported it could it handle the 11.5psi. Both of them have no fuel modifications and the guy with the 87 said he removed anything in the engine bay that wasn't necessay and is constantly talking about performance...Hey i love performance...but i am not a young retard willing to buy anything that has an intake. Before all... i want reliablity and if his street port is good, great, but i am unsure. He also said he has been doing this rebuild stuff for a while i seen some rotors just hanging out in his yard, along with an FB and another T2. z Depending on what he removed it can mean a lot to the value of the car. The anniversary is basically complete i believe that the guy that owns the Anniversary wont lower his price and the 87 might go down by 300 dollars.

Anyone else have input. Thanks Everybody for the help.

I drive a hard bargain, I go with a transporter plate and a pocket

of cash, usually people just want to get rid of it and not deal with selling a used car, lol.

I give them a line like this "your asking $3000,it needs this, that, the other thing, Ill give you $2000 cash right now, sign the title to me and Ill drive it away right now, or you can hold on to it for a few more weeks and try to get another $100-$200"

then they usually counter offer, if not I tell them "you have my number, call me if you change your mind"

Oh yeah and does the street port compromise reliability and how reliable is the engine with the port....As well as What is the highest mileage a JDM engine can have when installed in a US car.

street port properly done should not effect reliability beyond increased wear due to increased power (and consequently stress on engine components)

If i can get this last question answered about reliability. Then if its not too much to ask that folks can put their final judgement.

Any other info is welcomed

go 88, its a collectors item. you got the black leather interior, nice white body moldings. and the good thing with white, if you do any body upgrades, most parts come in white, so they will still match until you get them painted, lol. also, that 88 anniversary seal is really cool.

you're going to end up spending a decent amount of money to get the 87 in good working order. i mean, new gas gauge sensor, windshield, interior parts, ect, that's a lot of stuff to do. and as for the sunroof, i've heard nothing but horror storries about replacing those.

all the money you end up spending on the 87 you could instead spend on the 88 anni, and have a real nice ride. s5 lights, 17" rims and tires, RB exhaust...that's a sweet ride.

let me put it to you like this: when you marry, do you want a chick that someone has messed around with and screwed up, or do you want a virgin? exactly, stick with the 88 anni, it's virgin and it will give you much more pleasure.
