u are talkign abotu teh air flow meter not teh o2, o2 sensor goes on your exhaust.

u can isntall a "high flow" intake adapter thingy from ebay , its about 20 bucks. i doubt it actaulyl helps teh power much, u might want to just cut a stock box somewhere on the bottom of the mazda sign, take off teh piece that goes over teh radiator shroud, and plug that side and use a k&n replacement filter. that woudl prolly work better since it will try to get teh air by where teh headlight has holes rather then teh hot engine bay liek a cone would.

by the way this si teh worng forum to post this in, someone move to 2nd gen

See the red filter thing? That would be your "high flow intake." The gray metal thing with the d-shaped black area that it's attached to is your air flow sensor. Attach filter as shown.

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>Psst, racer x, check the first line</span>

TII, n/a, it's all the same when you're using a lower quality adapter (I'm not hating, I have an ebay adapter). Good luck.
