When i let out the clutch when i am in neutral the car makes a very strange whining/whirring noise....it's always done it, ever since i bought it, oh and the rear end whined LOUD, but the rear end quit making noise, but I am still stuck with the weird noise in neutral, i just got off work and i am prolly making absolutely no sense, but i think u guys will catch what i am saying....

its easy to change the fluid, just undue the drain plug, drain and fill it back up.

If you want the good stuff, find a shop (not your average parts store, probably a speed shop) that carries Redline synthetic, then get 3 quarts of MT-90 and I beleive 3 of the appropriate weight rear diff oil too.

You will probably feel a big increase in the smoothness of your tranny in terms of shifter feel and notchiness rowing the gears.

It should be about $7-8 a quart but its well worth it.

Also about the whirring noise, as far as I know, thats just inescapable, my old throwout bearing did it, and the new one does too.

if it makes that noise with the clutch pedal up only...it surely is the release (throwout) bearing.

if it makes it all the time no matter what...the pilot bearing is worn out...or misalinged
