They broke into my car the other day and they must know about 7's cause

they knew how to knock out the stock alarm.(by breaking the little metal box

under the glove box they pulled it and popped a few wires and cracked the thing open.

I wouldn't care about the fact that I don't have the stock alarm or that i don't have

a dome light anymore but now i don't get any power to my radio. I tried to reconnect the

wires but that didn't work. Do you guys think it would work if I took the box from another

88? What would work? All I really want is to have power to my radio. everything else is not

that important to me. Help please.

If they just pulled wires something might have surged.

Check your fuses. If you have a volt meter/test light, check for power to the deck.

I'm not sure if all those system run in series on a 7??

Let us know what's going on!

Its Weird though cause when I plug the box in The lil light that comes one when a door is open turns on and the radio blinks like its a bout to turn on then the lights on the radio shut off again. I was hoping when i reconnected all the wires it would work. But i'm wondering if the curcuitry in the box got messed up when they broke it open.

Does the factory deck(Which I'm assuming you have) come with a facorty security system?? I'm not sure, but if it does that woudl explain why it's shutting off.

Check your owners manual? Just another guess?

No its a clarion. Head unit.

But I kept all the power wiring the same.

I just spliced the factory wiring When I installed the radio.

But I don't think it should make a diff. If i had factory or after market radio

the problem would probably be the same cause i noticed it after the

box was broken. Thanx for the suggestion though.

That was my next move but I think i will need to have a sort of cut off switch for the power if i do it direct to the battery. Where do you suggest I get the power from?

Thanx

get the power(red) from the battery direct(always best)

and good ground ,,,just make your accessory wire with a toggle switch or cut into the ignition and splice from there
