check it I just bout a 91 with a 13b I put ngk plugs in it the platnums and yes they are the right plugs for leading and for trailing. Now about every other time I crank it after it has sit about two hours or more it smokes for a short while, white smoke any one Know what the hell is going on please help!!!!!!! It is driving me nutss

Does it do it if you put in the other plugs? Did it do it before? White smoke usually means a little water is getting in the combustion chamber, which is never good. Do you lose coolant?

yeah, periodically check your coolant level, coolant seals might be bad. How many miles on the motor?

also make sure you let it warm up slowly, everynow and then when i have to get into the throttle a little when it's cold, it will white smoke just a bit.



I think it's because the oil is thinner when it's cold and injects more into the motor, because one minute later the car won't smoke if you tried to get it to.



If it's only on startup I think your fine.
