I had some wierd **** happen to my car when I went to move it the other day, it would not start

with the battery in it, then when I put another battery in the car the headlights no longer work.

My wipers also do not work regular anymore either, INT is out and they dont park themselves right.

I think I had some crazy dead short in the battery or something because when I went to jump start

it ( and YES I had the cables right ) the wipers came on thier own and the main fuse blew!

Car would not even click on, I swapped batteries and all was well

I checked all the fuses- is there anything else that powers up the headlights ?

Parking lights and brights work.

could I have somehow blown both headlight and wiper switch at one time?

Main fuse blowing and wipers coming on while boosting suggests bad ground and backfeeding to find ground through other circuits to me. I don't know though, that's wierd.

car sat so long, I would not put it past to have a bad ground or corroded connection someplace.

Im not bothering with it too much as its all coming out anyhow.

check the relays for em... i had one of them out on my vert when i got it.. only my highs would come on.. i checked the wires with a light tester and all was good. so i had my brother playing with the switch while i was lookin around in front and i noticed that the lows were indeed coming on. so the problem was in with the relay keeping them on. it turned out to be one of the relays up front between the radiator. I went to the junk yard got a few replacements from some fc's and viola..
