I think it was Mazdaspeed or Veilside that had a conversion kit for a 2nd gen to change them from popups. It's like two grand though.

check it out.

the half open look is easy, under the hood you will find the retractor fuse, pull it. and then under the car is the manual ***** for the headlight motors, turn them until you have sleepy lights

mike
You could also rig a smaller rod to replace the long one so it only raises the lights to where you want them.

Personally I think its cheesy to have the half up lights, and I dont see how it would improve lighting.

i guess you could in theory run with your highbeams on all the time, but its still useless as far as increased driving illumination.

I have the kit in my car so the car takes the super white DOT legal 9004 bulbs, the light is much whiter and it made a difference as far as night driving goes.

Technically your lights can only be 55watts, anything brighter is illegal.

sleepy eye cuz regular pop ups seem too big and bulky. of course its just personal aesthetic choice.

do most of your veterans just use the stock headlights? no one does convos? no one replaces their bulbs?

im just trying to get a general feel of wut is out there and wut you guys suggest. thanks again.
