I dont think that you would get any light out of the FTPs. They arent very big so you light pattern must suck. Can you even see anything?
|
aww yes i will do this soon. would you get a ticket for it even though your lights are on?
|
Some cops are pretty picky about lighting...I didn't get pulled over the one time I did it at night, but it could happen.
|
i wouldnt do it at night anyways, hitting stuff isnt that cool once youve already done it once

Yeah they are plugged in.. I will have to use the light tester to see if the wires are getting power I guess then I will narrow it down to either the switch or the motors.. But why do the high beams stay on?

My headlight motors use to work, but than one would flip up and down non-stop. I never figured out what was wrong with it. SO... I put my headlights in sleepyeye mode (half up) At first i did not like the style
But than i got my Turbo Wing. than i lowerd the car she looks good. The lighting from being half up is sufficiant... But than again i also have PIAA Fog lamps. (VERY NICE) Spent 300 bucks on the damn things Eventually i will figure out what is wrong with my headlight motors. Or i could buy an RE amenyia Flush headlight kit. (ALSO NICE) Thats my 7 Cent's 75 Repu. Check the Large relays for the motors. sometimes they get wet and burn out. (just a thought) |
cool I will try all those things.. ONe question though.. are all 86-91 headlight switches compatible? what about the wiper switches.. I find lots of 86-88 cars at the Junkyard.. but hardly ever find any S5s..
|
most parts are interchangebable, i think these 2 things are the same.

Once upon a time I was working late, late in the garage and the car made a freakin-scary noise: the stuck headlight went down on its own.
It seems the motor gets a little corroded or crudded up and sticks or can't make a proper connection internally. Try turning the lowering knobs under the car and they may suddenly start to move again--be warned that it feels really freaky when they suddenly come alive in your hand. (Pull off the boots first.) I sprayed mine with something, but I can't remember what. Might have been silicone. But I found graphite lube in a spray can and that would be much better, just let it air out first. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif |
