I don't know about that w/ the switchpanel.
The only real odd thing about these headunits, isn't the WIDTH. If you have a double- or triple-din headunit, it's being held in by this cage. The units screw to that, and that to the console. My 86 GXL has a triple-din: Radio, Tape Deck, and EQ. All three are the same width, but when I went to change out head units... I noticed the CAGE doesn't screw on to every aftermarker headunit. The only thing I noticed is that there is not much extra depth for the wiring.
I needed most or the bottom bay for wiring space. |
