I ran across this problem twice since i first bought my car:

The first time because the battery was no good (acid leaking) it had enough charge to crank it over but had hard time to turn it fast enough to start, colder is harder to start than warmer.

The second time is because I had a slow leak in fuel line, as the car sat for long time (overnight) the high pressure leaked the gas out, when started cold it had to crank for a bit to rebuild the pressure. The leak was slow enough that if I left the car for short while the pressure was still there.

I hope this helps, this stuff is easy/cheap to check.

Ciao

Serge

When you mean is hard to start, can you be a bit more specific?
