I'm curious if anyone is running these with a Haltech or AEM or any other stand alone unit. Kind of curious if there is any real benefit to running them versus doing the dual ignitor modification to the stock coils.

i ran em on my 3 rotor back in the day. on a 2 rotor where you have a nice set of stock coils its not really worth doing, stock coils are beefy

Well the reason I ask is because I am running an AEM modified box on my S5 engine and I have to either run these coils or dual ignitors in the stock coils. I have it running on them, but I was wondering if there is really any advantage to running LS1 coils versus the stock modified ones.

Why do you say that? I am going to be ******* pissed if I bought these for nothing when I already had some modified coils for my car

they work fine. the big deal is when you go from a v8 to a 2 rotor, you cut the charge time in half, and half again if you run wasted spark, and then double the rpm, they dont get enough charge time.
