ok i have an 88 FC convertible N/A no mods, besides exhaust.

Car idles at normal RPM, but when i take off the car kind of.... lurches? unless i rev her up then let out clutch then press gas...

what im saying is that even if i drop the clutch taking off car is slow taking off... my friends Suzuki Swift is faster off the line....

after like 2800 or so RPM car takes off quick. but at begining is very slow....

car is in excellent shape, only 156k miles... never abused. very clean undefr hood etc. an old man owned it so im wonderin what it could be...?

thanks so much.

mark.

Aftermarket exhaust, and a lightweight flywheel.

You could also street port the motor if you wanted, and i would suggest a lighter driveshaft (since the U-joints are probably worn on your car by now, depending on the mileage / abuse) - You can't rebuild stock mazda U joints.

Don't bother with the intake, its not restricting on N/As

Haha, you beat me to it. Yeah, porting and weight reduction. If you want power, you have to wait for it. Same with anything turbo'd. Also, i don't know if it's common, but you could see if you can change the gearing in the rear end. Just some thoughts
