Guess The Code
#1
ok i read how to check codes but it says the CEL has to come on while the car's key is in the "ON" position.
my light only comes on while driving, most of the time if i bog a gear (like slow a lot for a yield sign and try acceling from second instead of going to first) the check engine light goes on. if i wait like a minute come to a complete stop and start from first, and shift normally to second the light goes off as soon as im in second.
any clues? does the computer store the codes so even tho the lights off i can check it anyway?
im thinking it's the o2 sensor since the wire was snipped and instead of sdoldering it back together it was tie-wrapped, yes tiewrapped, together.

Kevin check here for the code number and what it is. I think the ecu can store them.
