What does GTU mean on the Rx-7 GTU?



I am about to buy a 89 rx7 gtu...I want a turbo II but cant find one in

my price range, i ran into this one for 700$ in great condition,



say it has a problem with the fuel pump relay??



anyone know how to fix a fuel pump realy?? i havent looked for it yet but will take advise if you got it!!!

Grand Touring Under 3.0 liters. it came from a racing association. in 1988 i think mazda won the whole class. to celebrate they made the GTU models

He's right....



They actually had these lil circle stickers that were given out when you bought a GTU that had a lil plaque thing and small description of the races that mazda one in '88...I saw one at a dealer a while back.
