this was probably brought up before, but where do the grounds go to through-out the car? from the battery/frame/engine/etc.





and along with that, what is supposed to come off the positive side? main fuse, starter....anything else?

 

Only ground I know of off the top of my head, is one leading from the negative battery terminal to the top of the tranny on the driver's side.

Make grounds anywhere, just get some 10-12 gauge wire and goat it.

 

there is one under the UIM for the injectors, and another one that come off the tranny and is connected to a connector right next to the wiper motor

 

Injectors don't have a ground in the enginebay. They have a 12v power source wire that splices into all of them and then the ground wire for each injector goes back to the ECU.

 

yeah ok because i didn't just do a turbo swap this weekend car wouldn't start because i didn't gropund it in the right spot

 

I am also finishing up a TII swap.



The grounds that I have completed thus far are the battery negative cable to starter bolt, the front harnees metal ground below the dirver's strut tower, the top of the engine/tranny to the firewall (near the wiper motor), and one from the engine harness to the motor.



Are there more?



How about the little black square things?



I have one mounted to the engine. Are there more of them, and if so where are they?

i'm new at this ground thing, but you just take wire and basicly hook things together and to the frame? IS that right. I really want to get rid of that damn 3800 rpm thing too.
