Thanks for all the comments guys! Well the hood was the only part I couldnt save so I put my black T2 hood on it from my parts car, I think it looks pretty good. Now I need to save up some cash and buy some goodies for it. I plan on starting with the suspension, the stock parts are pretty worn out.

you planning on getting coilovers? if so what kind. im looking for a decent priced set myself.

one320fb 07-08-2007 01:26 PM

I was thinking about coilovers but I have a TII I need to finish also so im going to stick with springs and non adj. shocks. if your looking for coilovers check out the Ksports or the Tein flex are priced well. you can find them just about any online dealer.

goodness gracious.. i think i am gonna have to try that clay bar stuff on my s10.. damn truck looks like ass right now..

one320fb 07-09-2007 10:11 PM

Yea it works very well. I had never used it before. I watched my friends use it on the RX-8 and Lotus and I was impressed enough to start using it myself. I used the Mothers but I think they are many different brands out there.

One320B 07-10-2007 06:19 PM

I actually have the Meguiars products right now. Just used it on the tribute this weekend claying the hood and front end for some pics... will do the rest sometime this week.

My overall impression is that Mothers is better. The clay "grit" that Mothers uses seems to pick up more dirt and their cleaner wax is better too. Either product is good, but I think i'll be a mothers man after i'm out of the meguiars...

clay bar is a must, in my opinion, any time you want to do a wax job and make it look good. my friend showed me the plastic baggie trick (putting it over your finger and then rubbing the car where you *thought* it would be smooth) and ever since then the idea of waxing without clay-ing just gives me chills
