man that thing looks nice.

One320B 07-05-2007 04:08 PM

Looks way better than the night pictures I took of the front fenders! It turned out really nice... now get some pics w/ the new hood.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

One320B 07-05-2007 04:09 PM

BTW - I'd flip that thing - it's gotta be worth another $1k or so now https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif You should send a pic to the previous owner, he'd never believe it!

banzaitoyota 07-05-2007 08:15 PM

wheres the pics of the rx2?

rotary_pwr 07-05-2007 11:58 PM

dull paint? i saw the first picture and said, "that looks brand new!! what the $!@*&^@!#"

amazing job! looks like it came just out of the showroom or something. seriously.

75 Repu 07-06-2007 03:00 PM

fc's make 75 Repu horny..

One320B 07-06-2007 04:37 PM

Yea, diddo the old school pics, lol... you need to get Keith on here.

Either way, hope he doesn't kill me, but here is a pic (sorry it was night time, so its hard to tell) of the front passenger fender compared to the hood and half the door, its difficult, but you can see how oxidized the paint was.

The second pics really doesnt show anything but the two front fenders being done - it's more of a shameless thread hijack to post a pic of my black FB in the background https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

I was very impressed with the products we used - Mothers all the way for me from now on.

UnNatural 07-06-2007 06:32 PM

SpooledupRacing 07-07-2007 04:25 PM

Thanks for all the comments guys! Well the hood was the only part I couldnt save so I put my black T2 hood on it from my parts car, I think it looks pretty good. Now I need to save up some cash and buy some goodies for it. I plan on starting with the suspension, the stock parts are pretty worn out.

shogunxp 07-08-2007 12:58 PM

you planning on getting coilovers? if so what kind. im looking for a decent priced set myself.

one320fb 07-08-2007 01:26 PM

I was thinking about coilovers but I have a TII I need to finish also so im going to stick with springs and non adj. shocks. if your looking for coilovers check out the Ksports or the Tein flex are priced well. you can find them just about any online dealer.

goodness gracious.. i think i am gonna have to try that clay bar stuff on my s10.. damn truck looks like ass right now..

one320fb 07-09-2007 10:11 PM

Yea it works very well. I had never used it before. I watched my friends use it on the RX-8 and Lotus and I was impressed enough to start using it myself. I used the Mothers but I think they are many different brands out there.

One320B 07-10-2007 06:19 PM

I actually have the Meguiars products right now. Just used it on the tribute this weekend claying the hood and front end for some pics... will do the rest sometime this week.

My overall impression is that Mothers is better. The clay "grit" that Mothers uses seems to pick up more dirt and their cleaner wax is better too. Either product is good, but I think i'll be a mothers man after i'm out of the meguiars...

j0rd4n 07-11-2007 01:49 AM

clay bar is a must, in my opinion, any time you want to do a wax job and make it look good. my friend showed me the plastic baggie trick (putting it over your finger and then rubbing the car where you *thought* it would be smooth) and ever since then the idea of waxing without clay-ing just gives me chills
