I was working on my car a bit today and actually solved the two problems I was going after. One was that my power window on the driver side would not work. I pulled the motor out and cleaned it up a bit. It was just a little frozen and with a few cranks with some plyers the motor worked perfect! Now I can roll down my window, how cool is that.

The other problem I had was that I couldn't get the drivers side door to lock. What I found was a small motor attached to the locking arm that was hampering it from locking. The motor would move manually, but it took a lot of force. It looked totally jimmy rigged in there and I found that it was linked to a Code Alarm system that is on the vehicle which is also inoperable. However with the small motore removed, my door works perfectly, locks and unlocks fine, and the stock alarm with the light on the center console sets and works good.

I'm thinking the code alarm was something somebody put in and the motor attached to the lock was for a remote lock and unlock, which unfortunately the car did not come with. Anyways now I can roll up window, lock my door, and set the alarm, which are three things I couldn't do yesterday.

Right on! When I first got the AE the windows didn't work, so I took apart the switch in the drivers side door and fixed it. Now going through the drive through is much easier.
