Thats a lot of ****,lol...got motor work done?
Interesting place for the BOV as well...and that exhaust is gonna be..well, um...loud. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |
It is actually just a S5 Jspec motor. Because this is my first time with an EMS, I decided I would buy a motor that was cheap so that if I screw up tuning it, i am not out as much money. Plus, I will have a core for a rebuild this way.
The exhaust is not as loud as you would think. The Borla ProXS is an amazing muffler. It is quieter than an N1 with a presilencer in the DP. |
i'll let you give me your car. just this once tho, i wont offer again.

I haven't dynoed her yet, but I should looking at 350-400 rwhp. My guess would be 367hp.
I have a wideband coming so I can tune her without any dyno time. MMMmmm... Wideband.... |
Sounds great and looks nice and very neat engine bay https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/bigthumb.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif

Looks great. I noticed you cut that upper support out above the radiator and put a bar in its place. I have contemplated this since my 88 suffered some front end damage from the previous owner. That bar got bent and he bent it back so the hood latch was functional, but it looks like **** to me. I was wondering if it would effect the integrity by removing it?
|
I cannot notice any negative effects in chassis rigidity or anything. I was amazed at how tough the bar is - I would say that with proper bolting to the car, it is easily as sturdy as the stock bar was. Unfortunately, you will have to get hood pins now, as I do not think it would be very easy to attatch the hood latch mechanism to the bar.
|
I was just wondering that...
|
the stock uppersupport bar is very fragile, I almost bent it leanin on it the other day (no radiator or evaporator) I bet your setup is much stronger than stock
|
how much boost are you planning on pushing?? I'm doing an identicle swap, minus the intercooler, and a to4e hybrid instead of the t 60.
s5 jspec, e6k and all |
That makes me feel much better about it. I knew the stock piece was not strong, and I was very sure that this was as strong, if not stronger, than the stock piece. That is good to know that it really is stronger than stock.
