What's wrong with rx7store? I heard good things about them although they are known to take a long time to get parts.

I paid 9,500 for this baby

True but some poeple like to stop and turn with their cars too. Supras are awesome for 1/4 mile and impressive dyno #'s. 700#'s is a lot of wieght.

Good luck with your new car Rookie84.
lol. A Supra is a VERY good track car. We have a local one that cleans up in SOLO2 and also competitively runs SOLO1.

But ah well..Must just be everyone else sucks seeing as how they cant stop or turn

Supras are very heavy. 700 lbs. is a lot of weight it affects braking turning... everything. Supras are not competative in Motorsports.

Here are the results from the National Runnoffs:

Notice no Supra wins? They make good dyno monsters. But their weight kills them. If your friend is killing at the local Autocross thats awesome that means he is an awesome driver. One of my fist Autocrosses I went to there was a guy there with his supra I watched with great interest as I love those cars. His car was so slow it was ugly. I was beating him in times and it was my first event ever. This guy had been driving for years too.

TII is a sweet tossable car that can stop on a dime and rival brand new sports cars in handling.

I like Supras a lot they are Sexy Powerful cars that freak me out every time I see one. I am a big fan of them but realize they are limited due to how much they weigh.

Jims5543: It looks like you never drove a Supra. Don't judge a car without driving it. Supras suck in autocross because of their weight. But they can rape most cars on track. Do you know of One Lap America? Andi B competed with his single turbo Supra (Vipers, Z06s, and other high end road course monsters were what he had to compete with) and he ended up with 3rd place or 5th... can't really remember but it was either 3rd or 5th. Supras are very nicely designed from factory for road racing. People only use Supras for drag racing and it's kinda sad that they're not using the car like they're supposed to. Supras turn really well and have gobs of grip. I loved my Supra because it can go fast as hell but also it can turn with the best of the group.

He came in 6th with a Dodge Neon nipping at his heals. He was pretty far behine the 1st place Z-07 winner.

Something you have to keep in mind is the cars drivers at these sort of events. Look at the Lamborghini Diablo, it did terrible. Are you telling me a that Lambo is slower than a Viper? Its the driver. Andi B in the Supra is an awesome driver to hang with those other world class cars. But, obviuosly the drivers of some of those cars are hindering them.

I would be nervous racing against a Supra in a road course setting. I have not driven one and I am purely forming my opinion based on the Supras I have seen at Autocrosses.

Unfortunatly I have not seen one at an open track day yet. So I cannot form an opinion of them in that venue yet unless I carry over what I have seen in an Autocross.

I cannot imagine one outhandling MY RX-7 in the turns. And I am pretty sure I can give one a good run in the straights too. I am thinking my exit speed from a turn will help make up for any raw HP deficit I might have.

I respect the Supra as an awsome car I cannot express that enough. I think they have great body styles and the power plant is an engineering marvel. Quite honestly thoug I think their eccessive weight hinders them from being front runners.

Theres just no point. Youre going to believe what you want to.

Youre right. A Supra is no match for your 320hp RX-7. Youll stop faster with your smaller brakes, youll turn faster with your inferior chasis dynamics, and youll have much greater exit speed given the lack of low down torque compared to the Supra.

I was running down M-5's and C-5's at my last open track day. At the time I only had 225RWHP. I could not pass them in the straights they were only slightly faster. But in the turns I was all over them. My car is close to 1000 lbs lighter than both those cars. 1000 Lbs!! That is a lot of weight.

The new Lotus Elise will weigh less than 1800 lbs and have 190 HP and will run low 12 second 1/4 miles I think maybe 11's. It will own most anything on the road.

Pleas explain to me why my Chassis is inferior? And why my brakes are so inadequet?

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. LOL!!

I worked very hard to get my TII down to 2600 lbs. I am now on a tear to get it down to 2400 lbs. If you think that is not an advantage fine.

One last time:

I love the Supra and would love to own one I am just having too much fun with my 7 right now.

supra's are a modern day muscle car, the only motorsports they do well in, is when they are in completely modified tube frame chassis, in the stock body they are pigs.

btw jims 320 whp also has 318 lb of torque, so where is this lack of torque you are speaking of??? know your ****, then speak, and don't be a dick just because you think we are all close minded.

btw, in my 2nd autox outing, still in novice class, i beat a 93 tt supra that had modified suspension, running slicks, by 6 seconds on a 35 second corse. Torque didn't do **** for that guy. I have links if you'd like.

last time i remeber the only time you need gobs of torque is when you have a huge fat *** following you around everywhere, I stick to my rev happy perfectly balaced sports car, and nothing about your 3500 lb 300-500 hp car will change my mind.

ps ky sucks
