hey everyone new to the forum just bought an 1990 NA gxl for $200, i was surprised to find that when i changed the main relay it fired right up and promptly drove it around the block. everything was good but not to my liking so i decided to take out the carpet and get all the tar/sound deadening crap up. anyways in my quest for clean smooth metal flooring i removed my dash just wonderin if their are any preventive things(to keep the car runnin smooth) or performance mods i should do before puttin the dash all back together thanks in advance.





btw if anyone has any seats or bolt in roll cage for sale im in the market.

so your gutting the interior? or just making sure there isnt any rust?

 

im confused performance mods behind the dash? huh

 

Did it need to be cuddled with afterwards???

 

And i dont think theres anything that can be improved performance-wise under the dash.

 

wasn't there some talk of commonly corroded connections? like clock? fuel level indicator?



I'm not sure, just trying to remember past threads.

 

haha not so much much performance just little things cleaning a certain a common part thats always dirty ect ect.





....and yes it did need to be cuddled it had been awhile for the both of us
