Sorry I thought you already had one that you were interested in ... Well I paid $4500 U.S. for my '88 SE with 37k original miles. Although, I bought it in Utah and had to have it shipped to Canada ... So all in all I paid almost $10000 CDN. Which I think is a good price for what I got.

I payed $2,200 for mine which I thought is a steal, no one around here sells them or has one so I think im very lucky. Its in pretty decent condition, paint was good, Kinda high milage, Had a blown turbo gasket but thats all other than that I am happy for what I payed.

bought my 91 n/a with 140 or 150K on chassis with replaced used engine (at ~90K) for $2125. engine recently crapped out (177,7XX miles).

you can get em for as cheap as $300 running to $7000 running. and i'm sure there's bigger extremities both ways.

Its all realative. Toatly car, location, person dependent. My dad bought 2 n/a's for 3k (1parts car 1 good car)and now ill be selling them in better condition for less than that.

Bought mine for 1500. Needed new tires, struts, rotors(still not replaced),new brake pads, needs oil cooler lines still(haha, I am a slacker). My 88 SE is in good condition. The clear coat is coming off of the sunroof and fading badly, and same thing with the door. Has small dings that are repairable. Needs a new paint job pretty much(wait to see an Innocent Blue Mica FC woot woot). Some interior things wrong, not too bad, just needs to be steam cleaned. Engine had 166,xxx miles on it when bought. I just ticked past 168,000 miles and it still pulls fine for a stock N/A.

My advice, is to watch the pennysaver, or your local paper advertisements. People will sell them not knowing what they have.

And after all that money, it has been WORTH IT. Trust me. They are bad *** cars, turbo'd or not. TII's are more problematic than an N/A for obvious reasons.

I had to wait a year until I could get mine. Most of that was because of my parents. But they gave in and realized I can take care of it. I have done all the maintenance on the car minus putting the struts in.

Good Luck.

SAVE AND WAIT TO GET A T2!!!! If you intend to make REAL power, you'll need one. It'll cost WAY more than a T2 to make hella power on a NA. I have an 88 with bpu and I'm still slow as *****. You'll be able to take most of the pepboys crowd, but it wont beat the v8 guys.
