Uh, what exactly are you trying to do (besides start it)?

Has the car been sitting for a while or something? Is it flooded? Need a little more background before someone will tell you to dump half a quart in, pull the EGI fuse, and grab your nuts. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Seriously, though, give us a little more to work with and it shouldn't be too hard.

rx7ahh 02-10-2004 10:06 PM

sorry......its just been sitting for a while i took it off the road for the winter.....when i went to go start it the car would crank over but wouldn't start...all the spark plugs are getting spark too

Redwood 02-11-2004 01:01 AM

Oh, okay. Deflooding is easy enough. Just pull the EGI fuse, crank it over for about a bit (15-30 seconds), replace the fuse, and start 'er up.

Hopefully it's as simple as that for ya. Report back either way https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

a capful in each rotor housing does the trick.

next time, put mmo in the engine when you park it and go out there every now and then to turn her over a few times (redistribute the mmo around the rotor housing and move the seals around a bit).

rx7ahh 02-11-2004 09:32 PM

does it matter if its cold out wihen i do the mmo treatment?

Redwood 02-12-2004 12:04 PM

rx7ahh 02-12-2004 01:57 PM

rx7ahh 02-13-2004 09:41 AM

well i did the treatment put a cap full of mmo in each housing and i let it sit over night....i pulled the egi fuse and turned it over a couple times to get the mmo spread around...then waited until the next day and nothign happend the car still wont start.......all i know is the car was runnning perfect before i put it away for the winter...when i go to start it, it turns over and i know im gettign spark i tested all of the spark plugs......do i need to change the plugs that are in the engine when i did the mmo before i even try starting it the next day?please help me..what else would it be? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png

Try again, sometimes you need to do it a couple of times. Pull the EGI, turn motor with throttle *fully depressed* in three 10 second tries (so you dont overheat the starter). Make sure the battery is fully charged before you try to start again, if it doesnt start like usual, dont keep trying. You may need to remove the plugs and unflood that way.
