Now clean up all that half assed ghetto rigged **** you got going on in there. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Jims5543 01-05-2004 03:57 PM

I am trying to get 900 miles more on mine. You will probably win on the break in. I dont drive far for anything. I am going to do a road trip in the next day or 2 all on secondary roads.

FikseRxSeven 01-05-2004 04:13 PM

can you pick me up a bag of chips and drive back home, that should knock out about 100 miles

turborotor 01-05-2004 04:28 PM

just do it the racer way and let it idle for 45minutes and call it done

TheCamel 01-05-2004 05:03 PM

First start we let it run about 5 mins, checked/fixed leaks

Second start I let it run/idle for about 15 mins, varying throttle between 900-1500 rpms slowly

shut down let cool and check fluids

Third start I let it run/idle and vary throttle every 10 mins up to 2500 rpm, for 45 mins

Next was the road test. 2 miles to fill the tank, then a quick 5 mile jaunt down the road. From there we hooked up the E-fan to a switch and sent Mike down the road.

j9fd3s 01-05-2004 05:21 PM

oh ok now he can start tuning the idlin/driving ranges

Cheers! 01-05-2004 06:44 PM

vosko 01-05-2004 09:40 PM

break it in judge ito spec..................MONSTER BURNOUT. if it doesn't break during that it won't break from just about anything shy of detonating it on purpose https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

NCGNETO90 01-05-2004 10:35 PM

Way to go dude. I hope that all goes well for you and your car!

7mech 01-05-2004 10:55 PM

Freestyle: Have Ito tune it!!!!!! Good luck with it. What all has been done?

Camel: Did you bring the skyline back to Dover with you?

teknics 01-06-2004 09:34 PM

mikes car is so slow, even girls made fun of him.

then again he was staying at 3k rpms.... oh the pain i once knew before my engine mount fixed my WG lol.

as his reward i gave him a monster flame show on the highway https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png.

oh and mikes passenger seat sucks, wires on the floor, holes in the firewall, no fan box so constant cold air blownig on your feet, and your can reach through a hole in the firewall and try to grab the turbo.

lol i called out all the noises and laughed and then thought up the worst possibility.

like his oil level light is on, he said he put in 6 quarts, i said "uh oh you blew your oil seals"

and i made it my job to point out every electrical problem because ive solved the same ones before in my car lol.

kevin.

TheCamel 01-06-2004 11:04 PM

EVERY LIGHT was on!!!! most annoying thing on the small road trip we took! hit bump, the entire warnign cluster lights up like a x-mas tree, shift gears all the lights come on, when we fist started it the oil pressure pegged and the coolant never came up on the gauge cluster, now none of them work...

Frestyles's car = teh Debil!!!!

teknics 01-06-2004 11:12 PM

all the lights still come on, and now they flash from dim to bright.

Not necessarily. There's definitely a very slim chance we'll survive.

Pyrrian 01-07-2004 02:14 PM

Wait! Can I join this break-in heat? Only, uh, 990 miles left on mine...

spaceman Spiff 01-07-2004 09:53 PM
