Ok my RPM, Speedometer, & Oil Presure gauge dont work. My gas gauge works sometimes and sometimes it dosent. I could have just put $10 gas and the little gas light comes on. Any advice on the problems?



One more thing I was tuning the bass on my car with a bass mechanix cd that has the 99 tracks with the Frequency macthes the number on the track such as track 65 is a hum at 65 hz get the idea. ok at 51, 52, & 53 hz my RPM gauge goes up and down sometimes it goes to 8k and stays there buzzing and i have to hit the steering wheel for it to go back down. and at around 45 hz the gas light comes on WTF is going on? any help would be apriciated.

 

the gauges could be a blown fuse..but what do i know...i;m a ******* retard

 

Um some bad wiring or something. The stereo shouldnt affect the guages unless the stereos wired wrong. Check the fuses first and then start looking at the radio somethings not right.

 

maybe the wires behind the intro cluster are lose,,,,mine are and my rpm,fuel,boost,and water temp gauges all dont work sometimes mostly when the car is warm,,maybe the bass makes the wires connect and causes a reaction like the one your getting??? im not sure maybe your cars just haunted,,,think thats like 10hp

 

the tach sometimes works right and the spedo never works WTF???

 

yea thats the samething with me,,im tellen u take the cluster out and check the wires,,,there should be 3 one for the 4 smaller gaues,,um boost/batt,,,temp,,,fuel,,and w/e another for the tech,,,and another smaller metal one for the speedo,,,the two bigger ones have plastic ends that u have to unclip to take out maybe they arent clipped in right???and the speedo is like i said smaller but metal and it plugs right in,,,im not sure if its like this on all models but thats how it was on my 87 tii

 

oh yea if u try to take the cluster out be aware the clear plastic part that covers the whole thing is extremily cheap and u have a good chance it will brake as mine did but it kinda looks better without it,,old car clear plastic tends to start to look like crap and once u do get it the whole thing off its ganan be tight but you have to stick your hand back there and feel for the wires,,,hope this is all helpen cause im typen a lot
