Fuel Rail Question

i cant accelerate past 4,000 rpm's and my friend said it is cuz i have the wrong fuel rail in (damn mechanic did that) i can accelerate fine till i get 4 and then it dont go any further....do i need both fuel rails?? or is it the secondary fuel that i need??

yeah and they cost alot of money, i think the mechanic got them from the mazda dealer

yeah that is why im hesitant to go to another mechanic to get my **** fixed that is why im wondering if i need both rails or just one for the problem i have

Sounds like the secondary injectors are not plugged in.

What model/year rx7 do you have? s4 n/a?

Its not a fuel rail problem, its a wiring problem most likely.

Why did the car goto the mechanic? Did you have fuel related problems before this?

i have a 87 turbo 2 and it had an engine fire and had to replace the injectors but kept the harness

anyone know how much a used wiring harness would cost for a T2 ????

New one cost over a grand.

Good used ones are rare, and I would expect to pay around $500 for it.

You're lucky if you get a good one for cheaper.

its around $600 at any dealer outside of hawaii
