Thumbs up

I have a '79 with an '86 13B, I'm switching the carburator for EFI. But my problem is that I need an external (inline) pump that will supply enough fuel. So what brand should I go with, and where would be a good place to find one; and would someone know the fp & gph to look for.

Thanks

It will eventually be ported, probably an aggresive street port and then maybe a small shot of nitrous :smirk:

If you want to go External get your self an Aeromotive pump, Summit sell them and there a bit of a Beast.

Depends how much power you are aiming to get realy? i know its a "how long is a peice of string" question but if you are in the 0-400 bhp band a Welbro 255 will be ok no need for all the External stuff,if you want more then you can go one of two ways the first is a External (somthing like a Weldon or Aeromotive etc) which involves fitting a sump to the bottom of your tank! the second is Duel intank Pumps, this would involve taking the stock pump of the in tank assembley and fixing two uprated ones, I like this idear as you could buy a Welbro 255 and keep it single then when you get to the big HP fit another one and run twin in tanks.

I started this thread a few days ago that should give you a better idear of the Twin Pump set up.
