Can't you swap the electronic pump for a Series 4 type?

Maybe this requires a front cover swap or something ugly?

evilT2 08-07-2002 04:41 PM

yea, you have to replace the front cover for the mechanical onr to operate

vosko 08-07-2002 07:38 PM

i would just premix its better for the engine anyway

Yeah, a front cover swap would work, but I figured out how to put a S4 oil metering pump on a S5 front cover without so much work.

Yeah, you don't get all of those ugly carbon deposits inside the engine.

how much oil do you put in the tank, whats the ratio?

1Revvin7 08-09-2002 11:46 AM

only reason i haven't considered this is becuz it dirties the fule filter and injectors faster, or so i've heard. What do the big boys do, like Rx7.com race car, or maybe even Vosko https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png do, do they run premix or what>

The general rule of thumb is 1 oz. 2 cycle oil per gallon of gas.

there is zero downside to premixing besides you have to put 2 cycle oil in the tank when you get gas. if you can figure out how to drive you should be able to put premix in your tank https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
