so heres what ive got so far:

installing an hks t04 kit, ive got a straight 2.5" pipe with rb catback, a profec-a for the turbo, and a fuel cut defender. no emissions.



how well is that factory ecu going to be able to compensate for this stuff? im not planning on running boost any higher than 10 or so for fear of leaning out. id like to get something like a haltech but thats really not in the budget right now.

do any of you have any experience with the apexi afc? how much boost can i safely run with the factory fuel pump and injectors, and if i choose to upgrade them later will the afc still be able to make use of them? :unsure:

I think I remember hearing the S AFC can run up to 720 cc/min injectors. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png I'd try and work a Haltech into the budget. Plus you should pick up larger injectors and a good fuel pump.

What type of T-04 turbine are you putting on? Either way, you will need to get some type of fuel/ignition management. The stock ECU will have timing for a stock car. Since you're running more air into the engine, you'll need to retard the ignition(both leading and trailing).



Also, an Apexi S-AFC can control INJECTOR PERCENTAGE, but NOT actual injectors i.e. you throw in 720cc injectors in and the S-AFC won't care. It only knows to add/subtract X amount of fuel at this RPM. The problem with this is that 550 cc and 720cc injectors are DIFFERENT. If you load a 550cc injector with 50% injector duty...it will act like a 720cc injector at only 34% injector duty...but as the percentages get higher, the ECU won't know that there is 180cc difference per rotor. It just knows to add X amount of fuel to a 550cc injector, not a 720cc injector :(



Do the right thing and invest in a Haltec. :bigok:

A SAFC wouldn't be ideal, but with 4 720's you should get enough fuel.

whos got a haltech and how much did you end up paying for the whole thing?

You can get everything you'll need for $1200-1300, but you'll need to install it, as well as tune it.
