I'm bored at work and the forum has been pretty slow.. so I figured I'd post about my new toys...

I ordered 4x550cc/min low impedance (peak and hold) injectors from rceng.com last week, they arrived a couple days ago here are some pics:

2 are nippon denso style like the stock ones, for my primary fuel rail. The other two are bosch style for the TWM throttle body/fuel rail.

They're kindof interesting, made by Lucas and are disc type injectors, they don't have a normal pintle like the OEM injectors, you can see the major diff here:

the Lucas disc design is pretty neat, the disc valve is 1/8th the weight of a typical pintle, meaning more responsive injectors since theres less mass to move around with magnetic force. They also seal better than the pintle design since it's a flat surface mating with another flat surface... the metering is also done deep in the injector recessed away from carbon and other junk so they will stay clean... you can see how deep the bore goes in the injector before you see the 4 holes where the fuel exits. The OEM injectors you can touch the pintle with your finger it's right at the end, which makes it pretty vulnerable to the elements, although the pintle cap does help.

I'm pretty happy with these so far

it was about $400 for the set, anything larger than 550cc and the price jumps.
