Old gas? It could be just enough of a pinging but not enough to blow a seal if you werent really beating on it. |
can you redscribe the problem? it makes a loud clicking sound under load over 4k rpms?

It sounds metal to metal, just like when a tranny eats itself, but we know if isn't the tranny. It's like CRACK, CRACK, CRACK. Let off the gas, it goes away. Doesn't even always do it on flats, but I can do it 100% on hills through all 4 gears.

I should also note that the car doesn't hesitate or cut out when this happens, the car acts like nothing is wrong.

cars do ping and still drive normal, for now maybe try topping the tank with some of the highest octane you can get, I think for the TIIs you should be running premium shouldnt you?

Yea I have an empty tank right now, so I might as well go fill her up with some regular octane.
