frozen/rounded lug nut, what do I do?

One sure way to unstick it is to weld a lever to it ( tig works best) the heat going in should free it , the bet of rod or what ever will let you undo it while it is hot.

That welding idea sounds pretty good. I know it is kind of hard to pull off though, especially if you don't have welding eqipment. But that is no reason to not try

It has to fit thru the rim nut hole; an easy out won't cut it, been there done that

Crappy camera phone pics I took on the way out the door this morning. The second one you can see better in the thumbnail form, and you may have to squint. You can sort of see how we cut at the lug nut.

problem is its a tapered seat, i think drilling the stud is the best option.



we had an extra set of rims, so we just drilled the rim away and saved the stud
