Anyone had these things adjusted perfectly.
I think this is my 3 time replacing the front wheel bearings. I did everything per the mazda factory manual. I have a pull scale and did a preload on them. After I put everthing back and tested with the rims, there was that slight play. Is this like impossible to get rid off or normal for fcs? or are the hubs just junk now? I rarther have a slight play than too tight. |
I had a replacement bearing go to **** in a ridiculously short period of time. Not sure what brand they were. Last time I bought them, I got Timken bearings from Autozone. So far, so good.

Timken has a good website with tons of good info on bearings. I got the bearing from mazdatrix. Didn't know autozone will sell them. Are they cheaper? Did you just order them by car make or you had part numbers? Carlos |
I always try to get stuff locally if I can. The bearings for one side were like $22. I think I just went in and let them pull up the numbers. Timken lists #32204 for the inner and #SET11 for the outer. Grease seal #1975S. Write those numbers down and take them with you to the store, then you can be sure they're pulling the right ones.
Just make sure they stock Timken. Not many places do. |

Ive had pretty good luck with those, and using the nice synthetic grease. So far, 15k miles no problems. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

i hate wheel bearings! i notice once you set it up with new parts, you have to go and reset em after a couple weeks and readjust. i went thru like 3-4 sets of bearings in my brown gsl-se.
