OK,this is the second time it has happened to me. The first time I changed both primary injector plugs.(brand new ones were soudered in) It took me over a week to figure out it was the injector plugs and not the injectors.. Im not the smartest person when it comes to electrical equipment.

Anyways, The new Injector plugs, fixed the problem for about a month, until now.. Now the exact same thing is happening again. The ,same front rotor, injector plug is reading a 1/4 of what the rear rotor plug reads on the test meter. Exactly like the first time.

What do i need to test next? My resistor pack? Maybe some ECU pins?

Its a 1988 turbo II.

OK. I dont kow what to say. This F-ing car man...

Ok, listen to this guys.

The problematic fuel injector plug that was not getting full power is now getting full power. Just 30 minutes ago. I decided to test various things with the ohm meter thingy. SO for ***** and giggles i decided to check the problematic injector plug expecting the same results but its completely normal now and in full working order. WTF!!!!

Ok. lets say i put the car together and i runs. I know it will run. BUt i also know it wont last more that 30 minutes and i will have to limp home on one f-ing rotor. Cause it has done this about 3 times now. Its what it used to do before new injector plugs got put in it.

Can injector plugs be fouled somehow? If so, please do explain.

Why doesnt the f-ing thing stay working... it works when it wants..... I mean what makes the difference from yesterday to today without changing or messing with anything? * rdy to cry cause he hates electrical problems n has no other transportation.*

SOmeone please help me out. WHere are the FC electrical gurus?

If you continue having the same issue with the injector connectors even after replacing then then your problem is likely else where and further back in the system. If its intermitent as you say it wont be as easy to diagnose either. Download the FSM online, do a search the links been posted plenty of times. Then find where to start looking next. On a side note for it to actualy be the connector you would have had to solder it badly or have a bad connection some how inside of it. If you wiggle the wire and get the same results then you know where your issue is.

"further back in the system", you mean my resistors or my ecu?

The car did this with the stock wiring harness about a 1-2 month ago for the first time, and now again with the replaced injector plugs. Both times on the same front rotor injector plug. The rear rotor hasnt giving me any probs ,with the stock injector plugs nor now with the new replaced injector plugs.

Anyone know what to test for next or how to do it?

Replace that resistor pack, it's sitting in the engine bay so it's really the only thing that will get exposed to weather, and the likely suspect...

The resistor packs should interchange between N/A and TII, since the purpose is to modify the signal to the injectors themselves (nothing to do with injector output). S5s are all high impedance and don't require the resistor pack.

So since your car is an S4 with an S5 motor, what's the deal there anyways? You got an S5 ECU? S4 ECU?

Why do you think its an s5? S4 ecu

I'm in Florida and we just we just went through hurricane Fay. SHe sat in the heavy rain forever. I have an S4 motor, I think. It has the knock sensor on the center iron where the oil filler/block meet up.

ANyway to test the resistors?

I'm not sure how to test that resistor pack, should be in the FSM somewhere. I can't find my FSM CD right now...

Do you know anyone locally, maybe you can just swap it out and try it?

Ok, listen to this. I did not change anything on the car. I just left it as is. But, the next day i checked the injector plug and it was checking good. I threw everything back together and it cranked right up. Ihave driven to the beach and back twice now, without a single problem... how crazy... And the beach is a good 20 minutes. SO a total of 80 mins driving without a prob.

How ridiculous can this get... It has a mind of its own..

Well, clearly you've still got a problem somewhere. I wouldn't be waiting for it to show it's head again. You should be able to drive for 80,000,000 minutes without having an injector current problem.

I think it's the resistor pack.

That or you had a slightly loose connection that in the process you tightened up while checking out connections.
