Front brake dust cover
While in the process of replaced the front bearing i'm going to remove the brake dust covers.
Other than keeping the insided of the wheel well clean (struts, a- arms clean and protecting maybe the rubber from melting) what else are the good for?
Any drawbacks?

I believe they are also supposed to help direct flow to the vented rotors.
I left them in. My father changed my mind when he told me grease or something else could fall in by accident and have no breaks.

They are actually more for water than anything else.
it keeps water and debris off the inside of the rotor.
if you pull em off, the inside pads will wear faster.
