Friends Idea?

Hi i am kinda new to the rotary world and a friend of mine has been pushing the idea of an rx7 on me, but he is talking about a second gen body with a third gen engine in it. if i want to get something like this how much would it cost realisticly

For the cost, you could probably just get a 3rd gen. The FC turbo blocks do just fine for power. The 3rd gen block really isnt that much better.

ahh forget it i will just take out the loan for the third gen at end of summer.

I think that a 2nd gen will cost less insurence wise. And i have heard that 3rds are more expencive to up-keep.

I cuncur, A 2nd gen will be less insurance. And the rule of the thumb is if you have to save up to buy an FD you cant afford it. buy an FC and have some fun. For what its worth a TII motor will do just fine not really worth the swap to a 3rd gen. IMO just my $.02
