Fouling plugs

ok so i just bought this 86 rx7 about a month ago. It had some really old ngks in it so I put some fresh ones in it. I have driven it about 1000 miles and it started it running weird. So last night I pulled the plugs and they were completely black, and dry.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
