Thanks for the plug on my site. I love the supercharger. It doesn't give you the kick in the seat like when the turbo spools up, its more like a train accellerating, you just come up to speed so much quicker.

Since Nelson stopped making the kit I have, the only other place is http://www.atkinsrotary.com they own the Camden line now. Unfortunately, you have to switch over to a carb.

On the other hand, I'm working with a couple of guys to see if I can reproduce the custom parts of my setup. There's only 4 truly custom pieces, everything else is off the shelf, or I know suppliers already. If you're interested, send me an email.

Superchargers don't have the power potential that a turbocharger does. I've never seen a Dyno run for a SCed 7 pushing 400, or even 300 hp. And if it did, you'd be toasting your differential for sure, if not the transmission too.

Your turbo fins may be modified to produce the boost you are looking for. Want torque? have the fins bent or shortened for faster spool up.

If you are going to spring for FAI on a GSL-SE, to a turbo. If your mileage is faily high, you may be asking for things to fail by doing ANY FAI on your engine. You may just want to swap out the 6pi for a TII engine and drive train.

Been there, researched the #### out of that. I thought a SC would be a cool thing too, but the cost is not much different, although the power potential is. Most power + least money + best reliability = TII swap. ;) Go turbo, and tweak the power delivery to your liking.

Take care,

I'd have to agree with Jim, if you want more hp than what I've got (210rwhp), then you'd better go turbo. The Nelson/Paxton kit did offer one major advantage for me personally, I was only without my car for a single day to do the install.

I'm interested in the supercharger you are talking about manufacturing. Are these type of superchargers smog legal in CA?

Well, the original kit from Nelson Superchargers was CARB approved, and I'd be reproducing the necessary parts, but I myself am not getting CARB approval. You will be able to pass emissions, but without the CARB sticker not a visual inspection.
