ok guys i want to put a fmic on the 7 and i was thinking about getting this intercooler i was thinking of running only like 10-12 psi on my fc i have an intake and turbo back exhaust and i am going to put in the 720cc (as soon as it stops raining in the north east) and send the ecu out for rtec 1.7 so i was thinking about putting a front mount what do you think? not looking to spend a whole lot of money on a fmic (wife wants us to get a house first..lol) let me know what you think?

It looks huge.

A smaller one would fit your mods better, and allow the radiator some cool air.

You don't want to get caught in the overheating trap.

Before you increase boost, make sure the fuel pump & its supply voltage is good.

The stock wiring can be a little weak.

yeah, that thing is tall. are you sure it's gonna fit? all the ones i've seen are more recangular, this one is pretty square-ish. probably more expensive if it is bigger than most, too.

Looks like a Volvo intercooler.

I personally am going to be using a Starion intercooler, and am aiming for roughly the same boost levels (perhaps a little less).

yeah i was told that the vovlo one is no good because it falls apart when you boost 10psi or better, i thought i could just mount it right infront kind of like how they do in the fd model. i don't know what to get because i just want a front mount but i can't spend a whole lot of money i have 350 bucks to play with and that includes the piping and connectors and stuff

My Starion intercooler was like, $90 shipped... check ebay for "starion intercooler" or "conquest intercooler" and you should be able to find a few.

Has more damaged fins than mine does.

Double check with the seller that it does not leak (this way, if it does, you have proof that he told you that it didn't) and if you dont mind some bent fins, I'd go for it.

Whats the current price?
