I'm trying to get an 88 na basket case running. I don't know much about the mods on this car other than it had a super charger . It starts fine when cold ( sitting overnight ) it runs rich and down on power. shut it down and your done. the top plugs are soaked the bottom plugs are just damp. Where should I start, I did check the injectors before I installed them. Is there a sensor that could call for this much fuel?

thanks for any help

I have been having problems with my throttle position sensor. Make sure it is pluged in, but if it is super-charged, I don't know if you have one. It is the black plunger thingy on the upper throttle body that pushes against the throttle shaft. I hope that that makes sense.

I suspected the tps but can't figure out how to test it. I'm not using the super charger. This guy did everythig he could to get fuel into this thing he was running 6 injectors.Any help on testing the tps would be a great help.

TIA

It's back to basicly stock. I found a bad ground under the throttle body. It was causing the injectors to fire at about 1/4 flow when ever it wanted. We were standing there having a beer scratching our heads and one of the primaries just started firing. The key was on but not running.

thanks for the help this car is possesed.

A bad ground would not cause this...

Sorry i might sound dumb. You said it "HAD" a supercharger on it. Does it currently have the supercharger on it? If you are running the same fuel system that was made for a supercharged car maybe your are running extremely rich because of that? i dunno i hope you can find the problem

He's right is the guy had a supercharger he probably changed fuel pump, aftermarket or modified pressure regulator, i was gonna say injectors but i'm guessing the ones you installed were new stock ones and you didn't just check the ones he had on and re-installed them

if the car starts find after it sits overnight and runs really rich then after you turn it off it's flooded again and he had a supercharger on it sounds like you still have some of the fuel system mods he added
