The guy I bought My car from told me that if i was In neutral, and I revved to 1/4 of the red, 1/2, then 1/4, then the redline, then let off the gas; it would shoot flames out the exhaust. My car isnt turbo, so I didnt think that it would work...this would be a cool trick...so if it is possible what can i do to coax my lady into spittin heat? 86 N/A FC, with only eexhaust and intake as far as 'internals'

so gimme the info....thanks..

cheers

My NA w/ straight exhaust would do it w/ no piggy back back in the day...

If you dont have cats and your running a downpipe or headers, etc it should spat a lil flamage...but yes, a piggypack turned way rich would help...

gutting the cat and running rich would do it. you said u have an exhaust, so you should be almost there.

I hear you dog. It looks cool. It like asking why did M.J. do his spin move just before he dunked the ball. Because it though off the competion. Ya and he looked cool doing it.

Anyway if you want to get that bitch kicking flames there's a old school method people used to use on the old hot rods. I don't know all the details, but it involves using an extra spark plug down stream on the exhuast after your gutted cat, or pre-silencer). This with a over rich mixture will provide you with a show stopping flame. You should be able to hook-up an extra coil to your existing disturbuator for this purpose. You may want to use two plugs for the RX (one for each muffler). Be careful not to burn down the garage!

You need to run get your car to run rich. Thats why you floor it in neutral. The higher the rpms, the more fuel your computer dumps in. The piggyback is an easier way to run even richer. I have no pressure sensor on my car now, so I run a constant fuel system instead of being boost dependant, so my car runs rich as hell. I pop flames everythime I shift or rev up the motor. No cats and emissions help too
