Finished Inserts For Flash-to-pass Lights

okay, so i finished my inserts to replace my faded flash-to-pass lights, using some aluminum strips and aluminum rain gutter leaf guards from lowe's. only took 1 hour to make.



supplies:



2 3' aluminum strips, 3/4" wide

1 3' x 6" aluminum mesh gutter guard

rivits and rivit gun to secure all this together

some nuts and bolts

the mesh also fits PERFECT for the front grill replacement. i'm goin to paint all the mesh parts black, add a teamfc3s bumper lip, and repaint my front strips black. its gunna look good.

patience...



i'm going to prime and paint them first, then install the front mesh grill



i wanna go a before and after type thing, but it was a pain getting them to fit, let me tell you. mazda had to make it hard and not make simple rectangle lights...



i'll have some pics by next weekend hopefully. seriously though, that gutta guard aluminum mesh is only $1.08 per 3' x 6" sheet, a great deal!

the stock FTP lenses are a tight fit in that opening, I can see why

you would have a hard time getting those in. Looks good though,

there was a FC at rotorfest with those on it. But his looked

like he got some plastic mesh and put it right on the FTP lights

with the stock lenses removed.



Unless you drill some holes in the radiator support the only

thing thats going to get fresh air is your headlights.
