by now everyone on here has heard about my problems with my rebuild and what not and are getting sick of the dumbass questions and problems. BUT tonight i finally got my engine to run smooth with power!!! here's the scoop. today i was working on the known vaccum leaks that my car has and a slight timing issue. well to find the vaccum leaks you must have your car running. I have been running into flooding problems every goddamn time i attempt to start the car. well today was no different, at times i thought plugs weren't firing and at other times i believed my timing was so far off that only one rotor was firing...well, i had enough of it and wanted to go home,,(i was at revvins the majority of the day,,,he has all the tools, hehe ) so my last choice was to recheck the timing and push start down the alley after dozens of tries to start with key. it was weird because i drove the car over there by starting it with key too. anyway i was so frustrated i felt i was going to give up for tonight. i went down alley and didn't start. had revvin tow me to a hill and it STILL didn't start, i have push started before but it never made the type of sound it did this time...more of a moaning than firing...anyway last hill! big one! i thought if i didn't make this one i was just gonna leave it on the side of the road ... so got up to decent pace and dropped it,, kinda stuttered then started right up as i expected. i thought GOOD i just wanna go home! by the time i got to the bottom of the hill i was goin pretty fast and thought to myself "meh, it was just the hill,,," then i floored it and i picked up speed faster than i could before the rebuild... HOLY ****!!!! i thought i was dreaming or something! from then until now it has been able to rev smoothly has much MUCH more power, and i am able to hold the rpms to under 1k without it dying... it still doesn't idle perfect yet but i got my block off plate to stop the massive vaccum leak i still have, best of all it starts up right away with no flooding even when warm....i have made this car my life within the last 2 months and to some this kind of project would be considered somewhat minor. but running into 2 months straight of problems and myself being SUCH a newb it was a humongous feat for me. once again i just wanted to say thanks to everyone who gave the time to help a brotha out and u know who u are....

Finally! I am almost gave up hope on this thing, I mean damn we have had a hard time with this engine...

I'm still perplexed as to how all of a sudden it gain powered... Must have been all the premix soaking in the engine while it was flooded all day.. Either that or resetting the timing really made a HUGE difference. Anyhow a compression test is inorder for tommorrow..

In conclusion it looks like the massive steam/bubbling from the coolant/coolant overflow was just air bubbles in the system, just needed to be burped. Gotta put some miles on that thing, so we can take it to 7k all day.
