so after looking at them, i would think it goes like this? anyone here did it yet? or can shed some light on this?

so, one of the S5 tps's would be cut off and the 3 wires not used. and the other tps would be cut and with those 3 wires, connect them as in the picture. the only wire not used on the FD tps would be the narrow range.

so thats how i think it goes???

no.

the fc uses 2 seperate tps's, the fd uses 1 tps, with a narrow and a wide signal.

the only leftover wires you have are the extra power and ground for the extra tps. the ecu still sees the narrow and wide signals

get it?

fc has 6 wires, 2 power, 2 ground, 2 signal

fd has 4 wires, 1 power, 1 ground 2 signal

so what wires should be adapted to what?

anyone wanna do a paint picture so we all can see. maybe it could be saved at the top for other people to see.

all the info to adapt a FD manifold to S4/S5 is one here when you search, except for TPS part.

what do you mean?

if you mean what am i using the 6 wires for, its to wire them into the 4 wire TPS for my FD manifold on my S5 TII.

if you mean, what do the 6 wires do, im not entirely sure. one set of 3 are listed in the picture for the S5. and the other set of 3 im not sure. and the FD 4 wire is also listed in the picture.

think about it a sec.

if a throttle position sensor has 3 wires, a power, ground and signal; why does the fc have 6 wires?

because it has 2 tps's.

why does the fd have 4 wires? because it has 2 tps's.

the FD tps has 4 wires because it has a narrow range and full range setting. the FC tps does not. FC tps's only have full range.

what do you mean the FD has 2 tps's???

your last post really confused me...lol

have you done this before???

Goto the ECU forum, there's a sticky with pinouts for TPSs of different model years

Since the FD TPS is two TPSs integrated, it can use the same inputs for boths, making it 4 wires rather than 6

fc has 6 wires, 2 power, 2 ground, 2 signal

fd has 4 wires, 1 power, 1 ground 2 signal
