So you plan on running like 30psi?

sidewinderx7 10-23-2003 06:40 PM

not 30... maybe 20-25

Rob x-7 10-23-2003 07:30 PM

I wouldnt cut that manifold.

I would notch the frame out before I cut that manifold, did you look

closely at the welds on the inside of that thing? It would be much

easier to notch the frame out, cut a section out then flip that piece

upside down then weld it back in.

Again I say I would not to modify that manifold!

no? Im thinking something like this ... i will pm you with more info.

the welds inside are beefy and nice, but it looks like i can cut the flang off, grind the manifold to a angle, then weld it back on. Dont think it would work?

Rob x-7 10-23-2003 09:16 PM

I think you need to take a good look at that manifold

and you would realize that what you are thinking of doing

is easier said then done.

It would be much easier to notch out the frame instead, done the

right way it wouldnt sacrifice any strength at all.

didnt Jim tell you how much that manifold cost to make?

its a shame there was some mis-communication, but we took

that to another welder and he also thought it was a shame to cut

it up, trust me and notch the frame.

You cut down and then across, take the piece out, then flip it

upside down and weld it back on.
