FC3S Front End Damage To Buy Or No?
#1
I have come across an FC3S RX7 that has some crazy front end damage and NEED to know from people who have RX7's if this seems possible. Story, rx7 hit a pole going 30 there ya go. the radiadtor or however you spell it was pushed back but barrely enough to hit the plastic covering for the fan blade in front of the engine. Do you think if i stetch the car back out it is possible to get the frame semi stright to put a hood an bumper back on and fix that rest which would be whatever is between the radiator an the plastic cover peice. Thanks for all your help!

Yeah, only you can really answer that question. I'm sure its cheap if not free, but if its an n/a, there are so many pretty decent cars out there for very little money that I'd want to start with a pretty darn straight car.

thanks for the help i might buy it still i got a miata to work on if i dont get this anyway. The only thing im wondering is from you all know what do you think will need to be replaced that would be everything between the the front of the car an the radiator also the left lights are ok just the right one would also replaced to help give an idea.

buy it cheap, pull all the good stuff, sell what you dont need, buy a cheap blown shell, make it twerk.
done and done.
FC's dont take front hits well, and they done like to be put back into shape after a hit, but then again, waht car does?
also, if it pushed in enough to push the radiator back, the whole front end is fucked. radiator support and everything. Only way to fix is is cut off and weld in new stuff.
plus swapping motors will give you a redicuolous sense of accomplishment, and make you very familiar with a lot of mechanical things with the car.

anything can be fixed like what some of these other guys said, but then, with something that is that messed up, i wouldn't buy it unless i had another rx and wanted to use the wrecked one for spare parts! but then, if it is really cheap, buy it, strip it, and sale the parts to us and make you a profit! remember though....... reasonable prices not outragious! lol!

I would'nt even part it out. N/A parts are not in high demand. I threw away pretty much an entire S5 GXL. I maybe sold 12 parts. And the parts were up for about 8-9 months.
I even offered the parts for 50 bucks and take it all, nobody wanted to come and get it, so I took them to the dump. Nobody wanted a free S5 motor, so that was given to the junkyard.
If it's TII, I would get it, but N/A's are not in very high demand.

frame rails are prolly bent, look for kinks. engine mounts, prolly broken, sometimes if the hit is bad enough the engine hits things and stuff gets broken on the block. hood hinges get tweaked, dash gets broken and steering wheel gets bent where the driver hit it. wires get pinched, etc etc
