i tighten them by hand but on a FD there is NO room to unscrew it...

Neither did I. That is until I took out the A/C and P/S. Now oil changes and spark plug changes are a breeze. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

Why do you guys torque the bejeezus out of them? I just put them on as tight as I can twist them on. Wearing rubber gloves while working on my car definitely helps get a solid grip on the can.

the regular mechanics tighten the piss out of them after they have had one fall off

fram is bad mmmkay

in one of the web site tests there was glue found on the clean side of the element in a fram when they took it apart, like a loose booger. **** that.

same here, tighten by hand, but getting off is the harder part.

Another word of advice stay away from WIX and Moroso

I had a Wix filter burst at a measly 70 psi oil pressure on the dyno once, and the moroso filter might as well be a coffee filter.

I cut all my filters open, I got me that nice tool. It looks like a huge can opener, but its anodized green https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png I have seen never any thing like that in an oil filter. I can tell you what color rags you used while building your motor though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
