Looks like this is the next step for my car. I'm not ready to go haltech since at the moment I dont have the budget for it or the tuning it would require. So looks like I'm going with a factory upgrade chip.

Right now I'm looking hard at the EL Prototypes chip (http://www.elprototypes.com/home.htm)

Over on teamfc3s, a member there claims by the butt dyno it gives at least 30 horse, a gain of 4mpg, and low end power is greatly improved.

Of course I've heard this about the fabled MD Race ECU as well.

Anyone with any input post up please

Modifies timing and fuel. I'm more worried about how aggressive they are with their timing changes

This would be for a turbo. 86-88 NAs all do have the same ECU

I certainly wouldn't be a fan of advanced timing. Can they make it kill the boost cut too? That way an FCD wouldn't be needed and the computer would be reading the actual boost.

It does. Thats the main reason why im getting it. More fuel and no fuel cut

That might be something I need to invest in over the winter. If you get it, be sure to give me all of the details.
